Personal
Sally Baird, 43, has been a South Arlington resident for 19 years. A Nauck resident for 15 years, Sally is currently a resident of the Arna Valley neighborhood. She has two sons, ages 7 and 4. Her oldest son, Ryan, is in second grade at Drew Model School; her youngest son, Adam, is in preschool at Drew.
The family enjoys life in Arlington. Favorite family activities include reading, playground and park excursions, visits to the local library, and playing on soccer and baseball teams.
Sally is a native of Ohio. She attended public schools in Akron. She grew up in a family dedicated to a life of public service, with her father serving the public for more than 43 years. His public service positions included those of city councilman, chief city prosecutor, common pleas judge, and state appellate court judge, before retiring in 2004. Sally grew up in a family where serving the public was simply a way of life for the entire family.
Visiting Ohio is the most popular family destination, since Sally's parents took up raising alpacas in their retirement years. They presently have a herd of 22 alpacas on their eight wooded acres, where Ryan and Adam enjoy being farmhands. The family finds those Ohio trips to be the perfect contrast to the wonderful life they have in Arlington.
